Dating to 1692, Taylor Fladgate is one of the oldest of the founding Port houses and has one of the most extensive reserves of very old cask-aged Port of any producer. Beginning in 2014, they began releasing very limited editions of Single Harvest Port made 50 years prior. These are Ports from a single year which age to full maturity in seasoned oak casks and display the year of harvest on the label. This 1961 edition is the first 60-year-old release from the estate, produced from the reserves set aside from the 1961 Quinta de Vargellas, which was originally released in 1963.
