Sierra de Tolono Tempranillo 2016
Sandro Bravo Marin worked in wineries in Bordeaux, Chianti Classico, Marlborough, California, and Priorato, before returning home to La Rioja to craft a single vineyard wine. The vineyard is one of the highest in Rioja, and is protected from northern wines by the Sierra de Tolono (the winery’s namesake). This Tempranillo spends 6 months in French oak barrels. So flavorful and pretty. Biodynamic.
JS92: "Rich and concentrated, dark summer berries. This is quite pure and fruit-driven. The palate has impressive depth and fleshy allure. Supple and even-paced, this is a very fresh, juicy and attractive wine." - James Suckling
