WA91: The Santi 2016 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Santico is an accessible expression of 80% Corvina and 20% Rondinella from a balanced and elegant vintage. The wine delivers the basics and doesn't venture far beyond. It offers a pretty assembly of dark fruit, spice, tar and campfire ash. Fruit is sourced from some of Santi's historic growing sites in San Pietro in Cariano, Fumane and Marano between 150 and 300 meters in elevation.
