Roar Wines is inspired by the roar of the cool winds streaming in from the Monterey Bay and the roar of mountain creeks which bisect their vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Gary Franscioni is a third generation farmer who launched Roar Wines with his wife Rosella.

WE94: With an array of butter and cream elements on the nose, this bottling shows just enough richness to appease many Chardonnay fans, but not so much to overwhelm those seeking a brighter, lemony edge. It's crisp and clean on the palate, where butter takes a backseat to tangy lemon and mandarin orange flavors, with light crème brûlée on the finish.
