VM91: The 2016 Sassella is laced with dried cherry, spice, earth, tobacco, cedar and leather. Medium in body and nicely expressive, the 2016 is already drinking very well. This is a powerful, resonant wine with all of its elements nicely balanced.
Rainoldi's Sassella is made from 100% Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca), aged in small and medium oak barrels for 20 months, and in the bottle for 6 months before release. A beautiful red with notes of tobacco, leather and cherry, and delicate hints of spices and dried flowers
