Radio Coteau Pinot Noir La Neblina Sonoma Coast 2017
Radio-Coteau translates to “broadcasting from the hillside” (origin: Northern Rhone). This is a true cult producer, led by New York native Eric Sussman, who fell in love with California’s coast. They produce incredible wines and practice conservation and sustainability in the vineyard. La Neblina (“fog”) recognizes the role that western Sonoma’s foggy coast plays in forming Pinot Noir’s identity. A pretty style, with layers of cherry, rose petal, clove, and lavender.
JD93: Brought up with 25% whole cluster and aged in one-third new French oak, the 2017 Pinot Noir La Neblina reveals a light ruby color as well as a brilliant bouquet of sweet raspberries, spring flowers, hints of mint, and forest floor. Medium-bodied, silky, and elegant, it's a great introduction into the style of the wines of this estate.
