Peay Vineyards Pinot Noir Ama Estate 2019

Peay Vineyards sits above a river gorge in the northwestern corner of the “true” Sonoma Coast. Vanessa Wong and her husband started the vineyard from scratch in 1996. Vanessa’s winemaking resume includes Peter Michael Winery, Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, and Hirsch Winery. Ama Estate is bold, ripe, and full of fruit. Look for notes of mint, spice, and sweet red cherry. A super compelling Pinot Noir. Organic.
WA96: The 2019 Estate Pinot Noir Ama is deep and savory on the nose, its plush black and red berry fruit enlivened by notes of licorice, forest floor and graphite, plus top notes of bitter citrus and potpourri. The palate is seriously styled with a firmer, grainy frame of tannins and expansive, amaro-laced fruits, and it finishes seamlessly uplifted and spiced. I'd give it another couple years in bottle. 390 cases were made
