Peay Vineyards Pinot Noir Ama Estate 2014
VM92: "Peay’s 2014 Pinot Noir Estate Ama comes across as bold, ripe and intensely fruity. Sweet red cherry, hard candy cranberry, mint and spice notes are all pushed forward. The classic mid-weight Peay structure comes through, but, even so, this is an especially racy, flamboyant style. Time in the glass helps the wine come together nicely."
Peay Vineyards sits above a river gorge in the northwestern corner of the “true” Sonoma Coast. Vanessa Wong and her husband started the vineyard from scratch in 1996. Vanessa’s winemaking resume includes Peter Michael Winery, Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, and Hirsch Winery. Ama Estate is bold, ripe, and full of fruit. Look for notes of mint, spice, and sweet red cherry. A super compelling Pinot Noir.
