AG96+: Jadot’s 2010 Batard-Montrachet, from the Puligny side, boasts stunning minerality. Intense notes of crushed rocks and slate caress the palate. The Batard is all nuance and class. There is a level of pure delineation and crystalline definition here that is simply striking. Today the aromas and flavors are quite bright, but the wine should fill out nicely and take on richer tones as it ages. Over the time I followed it, the Batard opened up beautifully. Anticipated maturity: 2020+.

WS95: Packed with apple pie, peach, honey and baking spice flavors, this rich white features a creamy texture and vibrant acidity for balance. Lingers with spice and butterscotch accents on the finish. Best from 2014 through 2028.

BH94: There is a trace of reduction but not enough to completely mask the citrus, floral and spice aromas. There is a really lovely sense of energy and underlying tension to the borderline massive yet beautifully well-focused and delineated flavors that possess almost painful intensity before terminating in a hugely persistent and very dry finish that exhibits moderate austerity, especially after an hour of air. This is a really impressive Bâtard because while it's a big wine, it remains impeccably well-balanced and while fine might not quite capture the palate impression, it is incontrovertibly more refined than usual. This should amply reward extended cellaring and though 10 years might not be enough though it should be close. In a word, terrific.

ST94: Bright, pale green-yellow. High-pitched aromas of lemon oil, white pepper, wild herbs and crushed rock. Intensely flavored and suave, with a silky texture and a light touch to its lemon, stone and wild herb flavors. Wonderfully fine-grained Batard from the Puligny side of the cru.

Jancis Robinson: In 2010, eight barrels in juice. All on the Puligny side. Rich, marzipan aromas – very much blowing out its chest and then beating it. Quite an exhibitionist! But why not? Lots of bombast and pleasure here. Certainly a successful Bâtard. (17.5+/20 points)
