Lieu Dit Sauvignon Blanc Santa Ynez Valley 2019

Lieu Dit is a partnership of Eric Railsback and Justin Willett, both among a small group of leading young winemakers and restaurateurs in Santa Barbara. They focus on Loire Valley varieties.
This is 100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from McGinley and Happy Canyon Vineyards. It is aged in neutral barrels and stainless-steel tanks, producing a clean wine with notes of chalk, lime peel, and lemon, with a grassy streak on the finish. Organic and sustainable farming.
VM91: Lieu Dit's 2019 Sauvignon Blanc bristles with energy. Green, grassy Sauvignon aromatics open up first, leading to a range of orchard fruit, mint, lemon peel and sage flavors. Medium in body and steely, the 2019 hits all the right notes. The 2019 is a blend from Happy Canyon Vineyard and McGinley and shows just how expressive and nuanced Sauvignon Blanc can be in the Santa Ynez Valley.
