Vigneti Le Monde Pinot Bianco Friuli 2016
Le Monde takes its name from the Germanic "mundio" which references the protection provided by the Austrian emperor to the lands. In this case, the Alpine foothills protect the valley from the icy winds of the north. Proprietor Alex Maccan left a career in furniture design to pursue his passion to elevate the wines of Friuli. This Pinot Bianco is smooth, accentuating notes of white peach and green apple with light acidity. Sustainable.
VM91: Bright pale yellow-green. Cool, enticing nose offers lemon peel, beeswax, white flowers and minty herbs. Then supple but bright in the mouth, with a layered texture and a touch of sweetness to the pineapple, stone fruit and herb flavors. The finish is precise and long.
