Just outside of Bordeaux, Château Haut-Bailly sits in a 74-acre vineyard at the heart of the Graves region. This great vineyard in Pessac-Leognan dates at least back to 1530. La Parde is a true second wine and one of the first such wines to be made in Bordeaux in 1967. Grapes are sourced from the estate's young vines. Its soft texture and forward aromas make this a great wine to drink young. Look for notes of cherry, plum, earth and spice.
90 points, James Suckling: "Beautiful aromas of blackberries and plums with some mineral notes. This is a medium-bodied red combining soft tannins, fresh acidity and a long finish. Second wine of Haut-Bailly. Very well done. Drink in 2018."
