Jax Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2019

David Jackson purchased this family vineyard after 5 years of searching for his ideal terroir. Jax Vineyards sources their estate Cabernet Sauvignon from their vineyard in northern Calistoga. This has bright acidity and a core of ripe fruit, with a persistent mineral and spicy finish. It’s rich, dense, and pure. Aged 21 months in 70% new French oak. A great value and drinkable now but will age for years.
JS92: Aromas of blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, dried thyme and baking spices. It’s full-bodied with fine tannins and lively acidity. Creamy, with a flavorful, fresh finish. Drink or hold.
WA91: The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is composed of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it delivers pronounced blackcurrant jelly, stewed plums and cedar scents with wafts of cloves and black olives. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with lively, crunchy black fruits, framed with approachable, grainy tannins and finishing savory.
