Familia Vicente Pearce Cabernet Franc Azcuenaga Vineyard 2021

The small Familia Vicente Pearce winery focuses on high quality single-vineyard red wines that reflect their origin. Only around 400 cases per year are produced here. The source is the Azcuénaga Vineyard planted mostly in 1990 at 2,800 feet elevation in Maipú, Mendoza. The Cabernet Franc comes from a mini parcel planted against a row of eucalyptus-scented Alamos trees. This comes through in the wine, along with notes of strawberry, cherry, and licorice. A classy wine.
