Christian Moueix, one of the most respected wine producers in the world, directed Chateau Petrus for 38 years. His love for Napa Valley lead him to the historic Napanook vineyard in 1981 just west of Yountville. Dominus is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with some Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It’s full of smoke, black truffles, and fruit, with bright acidity. Only 4,000 cases were produced in 2014.
