Domaine Taupenot-Merme Mazoyeres-Chambertin 2009

WA94+: The 2009 Mazoyeres-Chambertin is another reticent wine. This is a decidedly intense, powerful Mazoyeres that needs time to shed its baby fat. The aromatics are expressive and intensely perfumed, but at the moment it is the weight of the year that comes through most. The seductive finish is incredibly inviting.
