Domaine Nicolas Delfaud Macon-Villages Blanc 2021

Rising star Nicolas Delfaud is making incredible wines from east-facing limestone slopes in the Macon-Verzé appellation. He farms 4 hectares of Chardonnay and Gamay vines ranging in age up to 55 years old. Nicolas tends to be hands-off in the cellar and ferments his wines with minimal intervention.

The Macon-Villages is utterly delicious and a superb value, showing fresh and nervy citrus notes and a mineral core. Aged 9 months in neutral barrels.
