The Heitz family has owned vines in Burgundy since 1857 but traditionally sold all of their fruit to Joseph Drouhin. With Armand Heitz now at the helm, they are producing incredible wines from 4 hectares spread over 5 appellations in the Côte-de-Beaune. Farming is fully biodynamic and whole cluster fermentation is utilized. This comes from the top of the Saint-Aubin hills, with stony soils. Medium-bodied, with a mélange of apples, citrus and white fruits. The oak is discreet. A beautiful Chardonnay.
