Dominique Gruhier grew up only a mile away from the winery he owns in Epineuil. He took reins of the historic, 804-year-old estate in 1990. His wines are fine, juicy, vivacious, saline, chalky, and some of the greatest values for Pinot Noir. Bourgogne-Epineuil is a tiny commune just outside Chablis with Kimmeridgian limestone soils. The Pinot Noir from Epineuil has super vibrant fruit and a long, chalky finish. Organic.
