Clos Haut-Peyraguey Sauternes 1er Cru Classe 2017

JS93: A Sauternes with lovely harmony and finesse with dried fruit, mushrooms and peaches. Some pears, too. This is very subtle. Medium-bodied with beautiful sweetness (not too much) and creamy texture. Shows length and finesse. Drinkable now, yet it will last a very long time.

WS92-95: Youthfully raw, with lots of spice and hazelnut notes out front, followed by a jumble of tangerine, orange and singed almond flavors. The unctuous finish pulls everything together, so this just needs the élevage to tame it. A big wine.
