Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Toscana Rosso 2016
Ciacci Piccolomini, one of the most sought-after producers in all of Italy, is an ancient estate with 35 hectares of superior holdings in the prized Castelnuovo dell’Abate zone. Brother-and-sister team Paolo and Lucia Bianchini produce excellent Brunellos in the tradition of their late father, Giuseppe. The Toscana is 85% Sangiovese with 15% Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in a combination of Slavonian, French, and American oak for 6 months. Sweet cherry, flowers, leather, and dusty earth. Great value.
