Chateau Haut-Bages Liberal Pauillac 2014
JS95: "Aromas of cassis bush and wet earth with oyster shell. Medium to full body, firm and juicy tannins and a delicious finish. A well-rounded wine. Fantastic depth. From biodynamically grown grapes. Try drinking in 2020."
Chateau Haut-Bages Liberal sits on the hills of Bages, a tiny area between Pauillac and St. Julien. The current owners, the Taillan group, renovated and modernized the wine making facilities in 2000. Claire Villars-Lurton runs the estate. This left bank blend is fruit forward and ripe with firm, juicy tannins. Delicious finish and excellent depth. Biodynamic.
