Chateau Chauvin Saint Emilion Grand Cru [Pre-arrival] 2020

JD93-95: Tasted from multiple bottles, the 2020 Château Chauvin looks to be a superstar and boasts an already complex nose of ripe red and blue fruits, cedary incense, and chalky minerality. Beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied, and just about seamless on the palate, it’s a remarkable Saint-Emilion.

JS93-94: A firm, racy wine with a solid core of fruit and firm, chewy and polished tannins. It’s medium-bodied with attractive length.

VM91-93: The 2020 Chauvin is soft, plummy and enticing. Inky red cherry fruit, cedar, mocha, tobacco, mint, new leather and blood orange give this mid-weight Saint-Émilion lovely complexity and tons of class.
