Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Rose
"This elegant rosé offers a lovely, satiny texture, with bright acidity driving flavors of ripe raspberry, slivered almond, white peach and chalk. Reveals a tang of salinity on the refined finish." - Wine Spectator
60% chardonnay and 40% pinot noir, with about 15% of the pinot from 50-year old vines in the Les Orizeaux parcel, abutting Les Barres. Chartogne-Taillet is a unique estate in that all of the wines, with the exception of the Cuvee St. Anne, come from a single vintage. The family's vine-growing dates to 1485.
