Cantalupo Colline Novaresi Nebbiolo Agamium 2013
Cantalupo is a benchmark producer in Ghemme, in northern Piedmont. The winery belongs to the Arlunno family, who have long been growers in the beautiful rolling hills of Novara, tucked north of the Po River valley and south of the Alps. Here, they produce classic Nebbiolo (called “spanna” in the local dialect). Agamium, Latin for Ghemme, is classic Nebbiolo packed with ripe, juicy cherry fruit. Immensely drinkable.
AG92: "The 2013 Colline Novaresi Agamium is a striking, entry-level wine endowed with tons of Nebbiolo personality. Sweet red cherry, wild flowers and mint grace the palate in this silky, perfumed wine loaded with personality. Don’t miss it." - Antonio Galloni
