Camigliano Rosso di Montalcino 2015
JS91: "This is an excellent Rosso with lots of hazelnut, dried-cherry and berry character. Medium body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. A baby Brunello indeed."
Camigliano is a historic Montalicino estate acquired by entrepreneur Walter Ghezzi in 1957. His son modernized the company and converted it into a producer of high quality wines. The Rosso di Montalicino is made from Sangiovese grapes grown in sandy clay soil. It spends six months in oak barrels. This exceptional Rosso is a perfect everyday wine, with hazelnut, dried-cherry, and berry notes.
