Freedom Hill Vineyard is located in the foothills of the coast range, 10 miles southwest of Salem. The wine comes from a block at the north edge of the vineyard with Pommard clones on well-drained clay soil. It shows red and black cherry aromas with dark ground spices, and a strong undercurrent of minerality, finishing with clay-like earthiness.
