Rocca di Frassinello is the incredible joint venture between Domain Baron De Rothschild-Lafite (Bordeaux) and Castellare di Castellina (Chianti), making it the first joint venture between an Italian and French producer. It is located in Tuscany’s coastal Maremma region, and combines Castellare’s experience in the growing and vinification of Sangiovese, and Lafite’s experience with classic French varietals like Cabernet (Franc and Sauvignon), Merlot and Petit Verdot. The result is very traditional wine that combines the beauty and terroir of Tuscan Sangiovese and the structure and barrel aging components of Bordeaux.
