The Perrin family has owned Chateau Beaucastel since 1909. Over the past 50 years, they have acquired vineyards in the best terroirs of the Southern Rhone Valley. Vinsobres is located at the northern limit of the southern valley, and Perrin owns about 60 hectares of the single-plot Cornuds. The cool climate develops beautiful aromas and flavors of violet, graphite, cherry and spice. 50% Syrah, 50% Grenache. -EG (8/12)
