The Maison Champy, founded in 1720, was the first ever Wine House established in Burgundy. The area of AOC Rully production covers 290 hectares adjacent to the C?te de Beaune in the northern part of the C?te Chalonnaise. The soil is marl or clay with areas where limestone is predominant. This shows straw, underbrush and green fruit on the nose, and remains round while still possessing terrific acidity.
