Jean Luc Colombo is one of the most highly respected winemakers in the Rhone Valley, making particularly highly regarded wine in Cornas, in the North. This comes from rocky soiled vineyards near Marseille, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The land is surrounded by olive groves and brush, giving it a delicious wild herb character to complement the fresh red fruits. 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre. -EG (7/12)
