Launched in 2006, Fuse was conceived by marketing expert Michael Updegraff, winemaker Ray Signorello Jr. of Signorello Estate and their partners. Before starting Updegraff Marketing, Michael worked at Buena Vista Winery, Swanson Vineyards, Cliff Lede Vineyards and Turnball Wine Cellars. Ray Jr. began his journey as winemaker and vineyard owner in the Napa Valley during the mid 1980’s working side by side with Ray Sr. establishing Signorello?s reputation for excellence. Together Michael and Ray Jr. work with respected Napa Valley growers whose cool climate hillside and warmer valley floor vineyards are planted with an array of clones, spacing and exposures. Each step of the farming and winemaking is undertaken with the great care and attention usually lavished on much higher priced wines.
