Domaine Faiveley combines modern winemaking methods with time-honored traditions that have been practiced for centuries in their 19th century cellars. This is one of its prized monopoles (single vineyard) in Mercurey, with vines dating back to 1961, planted in a mixture of clay and limestone soils. It has an elegant nose, displaying cherry and raspberry aromas. On the palate, juicy, firmly structured red fruit leads to a long, mineral-driven finish. Definitely a bottle that over delivers for its modest price!
