Monbousquet was elevated to Grand Cru Classée in the Saint-Émilion classification of 2006. This is a good representation of its classic style, with abundant sweet black cherry fruit intermixed with black currant, spice and licorice. Round, generous and silky. 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
