François and Marcel Borie purchased this Fifth Growth estate in 1932. The 54 acre vineyard is planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc. The wine shows sweet aromas of cranberry jam & black currant. On the palate, ripe black fruits mingle with chewy tannins, and lead to a long, silky finish. This is always on our short list of top Bordeaux buys.
