Castell'in Villa is a village, not a winery. Princess Coralia Pignatelli della Leonessa owns 300 hectares (720 acres) of land at the southern edge of the Chianti Classico zone, in beautiful Tuscany. The estate has been in existence since the 13th century and much of her land is used primarily for hunting game and the region's famously delicious wild boar, which is served in the village restaurant. The vines here are incredibly low yielding and Princess Coralia releases wines only when ready to drink, which is highly unusual. This Chianti is big, with earthy flavors, and bright red berry flavors. Enjoy this wine with game, hearty pasta, or a traditional style Cheddar.
