Located at an altitude of 1650 ft., Artazuri's vineyards are influenced by the Atlantic and Continental climate. Unlike most other Garnacha grown in Spain, these vineyards are planted in quaternary alluvial soils with chalky subsoil. This tremendous value comes from vines up to 90 years old, and boasts complex aromas and balanced flavors of forest berries, lavender and violet. Aged in French oak for 4-6 months. -EG (6/12)
