Welcome to City Wine Merchant!  Located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, we are New York State's premier resource for the world's finest wines, personal service and competitive prices.  Our philosophy is simple: It is our mission to bring our customers hand-picked value wines at every price, while maintaining the highest levels of customer service. To achieve this, we are committed to the following values:

Our Wines - A Commitment to Quality and Value

It is our goal to taste every wine in our store and to offer hand-picked selections that represent the best balance of quality and value. To do this, we offer highly rated wines from around the world, but we also go the extra mile to seek out little known wines from new and exciting wine regions and producers.  Many of our wines are small production wines made by family estates, old and new.  We believe that these wines offer some of the best values in the wine world.

We also have a growing number of old and rare Private Collection Wines, including selections purchased from private cellars with proper storage conditions.  These wines offer our customers a wonderful opportunity to experience some of the world's greatest and most limited wines -- often aged and ready for peak enjoyment. 

Perhaps most importantly, we strive to create a fun environment to discover and learn about new wines, without the pressures of traditional retail stores.  We will always do our best to find the right wine for you, appropriate for your tastes, price range, and setting.  After all, the best wine is always the one that suits your individual palate.  Come taste and talk with us!

Store Location and Hours

City Wine Merchant is located at the corner of Main and Tupper Streets in the heart of downtown Buffalo's Theater and Financial District, only one block from the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.  We are only 5 minutes from Canada via the Peace Bridge.  Our store hours are 11-7 Monday to Friday, and 11-6 on Saturday.
